Okay, now that I've finished transfering everything back to OCF, there's no reason to use Xanga. The transfer took me a long time, because I went back and grammar-checked a little, and reformatted everything to make my internal files clean. And of course, I changed all the "bebe"s to "bébé"s because I am anal and I didn't have a way to type bébé on the Chinese-encoded machine during the summer.

check www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~mimiyang/ from now on, I suppose.

Goodbye.

I swear I'm going to finish transfering all my weblog entries by the end of the week even if it means I'll have to stay up on Sunday. ARGH. I am going to start fiddling next week with MFC stuff, so I'm going to clear my plate before then.

There are places I'll remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All this places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life, I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life, I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life, I love you more
In my life-- I love you more

Aren't the Beatles great? What do you think makes me love, love, love this song? (besides the beautiful music.)

Oh, I forgot that I was going to continue my negativity streak. >B) Today's daily Least Favorite Thing: leakage. Leakage comes in various contexts (pipes, bottles, roofs, etc), and yet there isn't any that I could think of that would be pleasant or desirable.

Today was busy. Got up at wee hours (8ish in the morning) to go help set up for EECS Orientation. That ran until a little after 11am. So, I ran back and forth to make sure that we had a table ready for HKN from 11am-1pm, and went back to the Orientation just in time to see Nick's humorous spiel about HKN's services. After tabling wrapped up at 1pm, I went to run some errands until around 2:30pm, just in time to meet up with everybody for the EECS ice-cream social. whoo. Then, that went until 4:30pm (BIG thanks to everybody who came out to support! Especially to pub for getting flyers together and to Allen for pulling together loose ends with Erika!). ah. I'm getting old, because I'm tired already, and there's still a Capture the Flag tonight! >B) We're meeting at 7:15pm, so come one, come all!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Met a lot of freshmen, and they were very friendly. Amongst other cool shirts, one of the freshmen had a shirt that said "We're # e^(2*pi*i)", and I didn't get it until bébé gave me a hint that it was "We're #1"!! sigh. Those were some cool (read: nerdy) kids..

Oh, and amongst other things, I hung out for a bit with Susan the day before yesterday (yay) and watched Almost Famous (a not-so-impressive movie) yesterday with bébé and Megan. And bébé and I decided that it would be cool if people had Lego (U-shaped) hands and Lego arms and Lego wrists.

Off to do some harm now. >B)

I'm in the process of (slowly) moving all my summer entries from Xanga to OCF. I don't like Xanga. I don't like the weblog interface, and I don't like the fact that Xanga seems unreliable and sloooow to load (especially on older entries). I don't care if I'll be losing some lazier readers with the move, because the quality of OCF server is just superior. And since I've turned off the enabling of comments, I won't bother posting here at all after the move.

I probably won't finish the migration till the end of this week, since my alone times seem few and far in between.
